Sizing and pack
Drip cap comes in 10 ft lengths, 20 to a carton. A crew takes it off by the head width of each window and door and cuts to length on site, so the quote asks for the opening count and the widest head rather than a linear-foot figure. Colour follows the panel line or the trim, whichever the cap sits against, and is confirmed against a chip before the order.
Cartons ride the same pallet as the rest of the order. A crew that names its opening count a month on the list gets the cap quoted with the wrap, the trim and the fasteners rather than as a separate buy.
What travels with the quote
The data sheet travels with the quote, with the profile drawing, the gauge and the coating named as the maker states them. The profile drawing is the useful page: the leg depth and the drip lip are what decide whether the cap sits under the wrap lap and over the trim the way the detail on the plan shows.
If the builder details the head flashing on the drawings, send that detail with your list and the quote either meets it or says it does not.
Delivery
The order is placed with a deposit, the delivery date is agreed in writing at the same time, and goods are released on payment of the balance. Cartons of cap are light and ride on top of the pallet, to the yard or to the job.
A colour you have not run before is confirmed against a chip before the order is placed, not after it lands.
