Soffit is taken off by the linear foot of eave and gable run and the depth of the overhang, in vented and solid panel. Fascia is taken off by the linear foot and the face height, either pre-formed to the height on the job or supplied as trim coil for the crew to bend on site. Both are quoted in the colour of the panel line, because a soffit in a near-match reads as a mistake from the driveway.

This line is quoted per job, not from a standing list. The first quote confirms panel width, vent pattern, fascia height and colour against your take-off before a number is put beside it. Vinyl soffit is a line some crews run instead; say so on the list and it is quoted the same way.

What travels with the quote

The data sheet travels with the quote, with the panel's gauge, the vent area of the perforated pattern and the coating system named as the maker states them. Ventilation is described mechanically on the quote, by the open area of the vented panel; whether that satisfies the attic ventilation the plan calls for is the builder's call, and the quote does not make it for them.

Colour is confirmed against a physical chip before the order is placed, because a name on a colour chart is not a match.

Delivery

Soffit and fascia ride the same pallet as the rest of the order. The order is placed with a deposit, the delivery date is agreed in writing at the same time, and goods are released on payment of the balance.

Because this line is quoted per job, the quote carries its own confirmed date rather than a standing window. Long fascia lengths and coil ship strapped on a skid to the yard, not to the job, unless the site can take a truck.
