Built for Kelowna’s climate
A steel door here has to answer two seasons, not one. Without a proper thermal break, a steel frame conducts winter cold straight through, showing up as condensation or frost on the interior face on the coldest nights. Without a UV-stable coating, the same frame's finish degrades faster under an Okanagan summer's strong, largely unfiltered sun than it would in a cloudier climate. A true thermal break closes the first problem and a UV-stable powder coat closes the second. Where a client wants the same black-frame sightline with neither concern to manage, we spec aluminum instead, same look, different metal.

Why it suits Kelowna
The sightline is usually the reason a lakefront-modern or wine-country estate wants this door in the first place, slim black frames around a wall of lake or vineyard glass. Because factory-direct sourcing puts the margin into the door rather than a dealer markup, an oversized opening or an unusual configuration prices as a spec line, not a special-order premium. Give us the opening dimensions and glazing pattern through /brief.
