A casement window is hinged at the side and swings outward when you turn a crank, so the whole opening clears for ventilation and the sash sits flush when shut. In thermally-broken aluminum the frame stays slim while carrying a large pane, which is why casements suit a clean, modern look.
Yes. Crateworks offers a casement with an integrated screen built into the frame, so there is no separate screen track to add. The mesh sits within the unit and does not interrupt the sightline when you do not need it.
The casement is specified by frame profile (Traditional, Contemporary, Coastal, Industrial) and finished in any RAL color, with black the most requested. The frame finish is AAMA 2605 PVDF with a 20-year coating warranty.
Standard build is double-pane LowE Argon with a warm-edge spacer. Triple-pane LowE Argon is available for colder climates and adds 18mm to the overall sightline. STC 56 acoustic configurations are available where sound performance is the spec driver.
European multi-point locking hardware in 316 stainless, selected by configuration. Locking engages at the top, middle, and bottom of every sash. Coastal install kits substitute 316 stainless hinges at no upcharge inside the warranty radius.
